With reference to the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad's query on 14 August 2007 pertaining to the news article appearing in The Edge Financial Daily, Tuesday, 14 August 2007, the Company is of the view that the article is speculative in nature and the report is not authoritative.

The Company wishes to clarify that in general Naim is continuously exploring business development and new projects including the Murum dam project. In the course of exploring new projects, Naim may enter into discussions and assessing possibilities for strategic alliances with various parties in the market to further enhance our business.

Naim will make the necessary announcements if and when significant developments materialise.
