Naim Holdings Berhad (“the Company”) wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Naim Cendera Sdn Bhd (“NCSB”) has on 26 October 2009 been served with a Writ of Summons (“Writ”) by six (6) Plaintiffs suing on behalf on of themselves and twenty-five (25) other families claiming Native Customary Rights ("NCR") over the area affected by the construction of the Proposed Bengoh Dam, Kuching, Sarawak for which NCSB was awarded with the Design and Build Contract by Jabatan Kerja Raya.

The Writ is issued to four (4) Defendants, NCSB being the First Defendant. The Second, Third and Fourth Defendants are, Superintendent of Lands and Surveys Kuching Division, State Government of Sarawak and Government of Malaysia, respectively.

The Company is seeking advice from its solicitors and legal advisors and has instructed the said solicitors and legal advisors to take all necessary steps to vigorously defend the Company’s interest and position.
