Naim Holdings Berhad (“the Company” or “Naim”) wishes to announce that one of the Company’s wholly owned subsidiaries, Naim Cendera Sdn. Bhd. (“NCSB”) has on 20th March 2009 been served with two (2) Writs of Summons as follows:-

1) Miri High Court Suit No. 21-01-2009(MR)/1 filed by 3 Plaintiffs; and
2) Miri High Court Suit No. 21-2-2009(MR)/2 filed by 1 Plaintiff,

collectively claiming an area of approximately 38 acres of native customary rights over part of a parcel of land described as Lot 4281 Block 10 Kuala Baram Land District, Miri Sarawak.

The Plaintiffs of both suits sued three (3) Defendants and NCSB being the First Defendant. The Second and Third Defendants are Superintendent of Lands & Survey, Miri Division and the State Government of Sarawak respectively.

NCSB has sought advice from its solicitors and has instructed the said solicitors to take all necessary steps to vigorously defend NCSB’s interest and position including considering filing an application to strike out the action against NCSB.
